Figure 1 : a : Axial T2-weighted magnetic resonance (MR) image of the right forearm in an 84-year-old man who presented with swelling of approximately 04 months duration, reveals a dumbbell tumor with predominantly heterogenous signal intensity crossing the investing layer of fascia and forming an obtuse angle with it. The margins are irregular and it is seen to infi ltrate the underlying muscle. The lesion measures 6 5 cm approximately. The lesion was diagnosed as malignant fi brous histiocytoma on histopathology. Figure 1 : b : Sagittal T1-weighted MR image of the same patient reveals a predominantly homogenous tumor crossing the investing layer of fascia and located predominantly in the subcutaneous plane.
